Organizing Model of Change

We engage community members with all levels of commitment and interests, moving them from participants to leaders who drive the future of our work. To do this, we first educate and train communities through involvement in our youth programs, community organizing training or workshops. Next, we encourage community members to practice what they’ve learned and apply them to our community organizing campaigns and projects as well as our events. Lastly, we activate community members to lead youth programs, projects, and organizational direction. Our model of change is rooted in repairing Staten Island’s forgotten communities from the inside-out.

Neighborhood organizing is personal.

Neighborhood organizing is relational.

Neighborhood organizing is the continual process of developing skills.

Neighborhood organizing is a consciousness and practice.
